Marybelle
Donald, BA, English, & BFA, Pietermaritzberg in Nutal &
Diploma in Teaching, Teacher's Training College and University of
Capetown - Visual Arts Educator: Before coming to CAP, Marybelle career has been focused
on teacher training in art and art methodology. As a Visual Arts
educator at CAP she teaches ceramics. Also, Marybelle is a Lifeline
counsellor and workshop facilitator.

Sipho Hlati, Visual Arts Studies and Teacher Training Program,
Community Arts Project - Visual Arts Educator: Sipho is currently practising visual arts,
including freelancing commissions in design, illustrations, and
facilitation of mural projects. He is teaching printmaking as part
of CAP's Visual Arts Program until June 2000 and is pursuing full
time postgraduate studies in fine arts at the University of Capetown.
He has had two solo shows in Cape Town and has exhibited his works
world-wide.
Megan
Tjasink, BFA, Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Capetown - Visual Arts Educator:
Presently, Megan is developing a new full time course in visual
literacy for Cap's Visual Arts program. She brings with her experience
in facilitating workshops on crafts and mural painting and has co-ordinated
a mural project speaking to issues around domestic violence for
the Gender Advocacy Program. She has worked as a freelance photographer
in the past and is currently interested in social documentary photography.
Wynand
E. Koch, MA, Anthropology, University of South Africa &
BA Honours, Anthropology, University of Pretoria - Visual and Performing Arts Educator: Wynand worked and
lived in the Peruvian Amazon for three years doing research for
his MA and the Peruvian Amazon Conservation. He is currently writing
freelance articles for Namasté, and works with U-4 Ever, an organisation
dedicated to promoting young and upcoming artists. He is also involved
in organising cultural and spiritual journeys to Peru and South
America. He teaches Cultural Studies at CAP.
Susan
Krause, National Diploma, Entertainment Technology, Pretoria
Technikon -Performing Arts Educator: Susan teaches Stagecraft as part of Cap's Performing
Arts program. She is presently involved in the production of puppet
show.
Johannes Lochner - Performing Arts Educator: Johannes comes to CAP with a formal education in language, philosophy, opera, drama and directing. He has taught languages at a private school in Johannesburg, acted in and directed many drama pieces, and starred in many radio commercials. Presently, Johannes in involved in a drama therapy project that works with young people from the townships, teaches at a Waldorf
school, researches verbal abuse, sings euro-centric cabaret music, and so many other things besides his work at CAP.
Mandla
Mbothwe, Diploma, Performing Arts & Drama, University of Capetown - Performing Arts Educator:
Mandla is an accomplished drama facilitator. His drama background
has brought him to work with prisoners and youth, the Baxter Theatre,
City Council, and a variety of organisations in London, England.
As an actor, Mandla has performed To Have and To Hold with
the company Heart and Eyes. As well, he has performed in Bed
on Bricks and the Translations Project with the Iindiza
Meilei Stark Company. Mandla is also interested in drama therapy.
Presently he is teaching Performing Arts at CAP.
Tony
Mhayi, BFA Honours, Michealis School of Art, University of Capetown - Visual Arts Educator:
Tony came to CAP as a part-time student in 1986 where he studied
life drawing and ceramics, and has been teaching at CAP since July
1997 in the Visual Arts. Tony is planning to pursue an MFA.
Sivile
Sili - Visual Arts Educator: Sivile came to CAP in 1997 as a student, later to become
an apprentice facilitator where he pursued further ceramics and
three dimensional construction. Prior to coming to CAP Sivile pursued
a range of studies including training as a monk with the Marist
Brothers, African Studies and Sociology at Khanya College, Social
Work at UCT, teacher training at the Cape Town College of Education
and Fine Art at the University of Durban Westville. Sivile also
worked in a range of contexts: as a gallery assistant at the Centre
for African Studies at UCT, as an assistant at the South African
Cultural History Museum, and as a student advisor at INTEC College.
Presently, Sivile teaches ceramics at CAP.
